flaky skin

I love chocolate flakes over desserts (or anything really), and of course, snowflakes.

I even like some flaky people, such as Jessica Simpson and Kellie Pickler 

I’m not, however, a fan of flaky skin.

And as luck would have it, my skin just loves to flake, especially during the winter.

• Drinks lots of water.  Ok, I’m sure this one is making you do ., “Duh!” right now, but it cannot be stressed enough.  If you’re dehydrated inside, no amount of moisturizer in the world will save you.

• In addition to plain water, try some other liquids like coconut water andaloe vera juice.  They are super hydrating.

• Get your daily dose of Omega-3s.  Try adding fish (like salmon), flax seed, chia seeds, and walnuts to your diet if you want to moisturize your skin. You can also take a fish oil supplement.

• Eat lots of fruit, especially berries.  Berries have a high water content and contain loads of antioxidants and vitamin C.

• Eat vegetables that are rich in vitamin A, such as romaine lettuce.  This is very important because vitamin A revitalizes skin and increases cell turnover.

• Snack on almonds.  The vitamin E in almonds is very hydrating for your skin.

• Add some fat to your diet.  Cook with extra-virgin olive oil and/or coconut oil or start eating avocados.  These healthy fats will keep your skin supple.

• Avoid alcohol and caffeine.  These things just suck the life out of your skin.  If you must have coffee in the morning (like me), switch to decaf or limit yourself to just one cup of the strong stuff.

• Sleep with a humidifier- in your room of course, not in your bed.    Indoor heating can really pull moisture from the skin while we’re sleeping.  If you use a humidifier, you’ll notice a huge difference in your skin this winter.

• Gently exfoliate 2-3 times per week.  Gotta remove those dead skin cells and flakes!

• Avoid products that contain harsh chemicals, as they are very drying. Check out my non-toxic beauty posts for suggestions, including facial and body moisturizers.

My Everyday Makeup !

I love reading blogs and watching videos about what makeup people use on daily basis so I thought I would give you a peak into what is in my makeup bag! I have oily/combination  skin and I am quite sensitive to some products, so I tend not to switch around on items too often once I’ve found something that works for me.

Face makeup
Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream : light 
 It gives a lovely warm glow to the skin, isn't as heavy as a full-coverage foundation and has SPF 30 so it's perfect for a sun holiday or day at the beach! . I am defiantly going to repurchase this as mine is nearly finished !




Maybelline Cover Stick :

This concealer is a heavy coverage product that blends really nicely. I use this on blemishes and under my eyes.

Natural Collection: pressed powder : warm

Natural Collection is such a great brand. All the items are under £2 and their products, like the powders, work so well for me. This powder isn’t cakey feeling and leaves my skin quite matte.

A great light pink blusher. I apply this with Essence  blusher brush .

Isadora perfect contour kajal : 60 black
This eyeliner is my all time favorites.  it’s so pigmented and creamy so it’s great to put above the lash line.


NYC volumizing mascara show time waterproof 

I remember getting this a couple of years ago and the first time I used this mascara I was like WOW! It makes my eyelashes so long and thick, it’s a staple in my makeup bag.Its also great because its 

waterproof and defiantly good for me as my eyes get very watery.                                                

        

 Essence lash and brow gel mascara

I use this for my brows and its great.It gives it a great shape and also great for the lashes when u are going to the beach ect !

Pink pink pink :P these shoes are gorgeus and so trendy right now .The silver and light pink go so well together and make it such a spring/summery look right now !

I adore this neon bikini as  i love neon colors and the pattern on this bikini , it a bit expensive for a bikini but if you were treating your self why not ? hehe 

6.) Real Tenchniques Brushes core collection £18

Last but not leat are these beautiful real techniques brushes .I heard great reviews about these and really want to try these out for my self :) You can buy these in boots and online .

I recently started using  Essence makeup and love it so far and its very cheap and very good makeup !

1000 kisses review :)

I recently purchased 1000 kisses lip tint lipstick made by Rimmel London :) I started using it and I really enjoyed it as  :)  This is what it look like ! This one above is 300 Perpetual Plum it is gorgeous, dark pink in color and you can buy these Rimmel lipsticks in a good pharmacy and Boots ! :) These are 4.95 and great for the price :) i would give this color 9 out of 10 :D  . It is also very moisturizing 

The next one i purchased was the 100 endless blossom this is a light pink in color  its a beautiful color and great to wear for a night out .This one is also very moisturizing and does last a very long time :)
